Feral

You are someone I know, have known, would like to know more. Hello friend...

I received two playlists, one from an old friend and one from a new friend this Fall, reminding me how much I love music as a connection. So, here is a playlist of what I have been listening to the last few months. I would love to receive music from you too. How is your heart?

Our house has entered into an empty nest, full of open spaces, freedom and grief. I find myself reaching back through time (or maybe she is reaching forward) to my pre-parent self, as I float into the next era. I have tried to live my life close to the bone and I am reinvigorated by the need for us all to stay a bit feral. What will that  look like in the coming year? I do not know but I am excited to find out.

As always, I have tried some new things this year (new teaching experiences, new writing collaboration, owning parakeets, swimming a lot); didn't do things I thought I would (still haven't finished my new website but I am pretty proud of the home page; pulled back on marketing art pieces for the time being); said some things I regret; and connected deeply with a few.

If you are feeling a little bit crazy, lost, tired, I understand. Know we are here together and can lean into these guiding precepts, the simplicity a buoy in this loud sea.

Everything changes

Everything is connected

Pay Attention

I wish you health, a sense of peace, with sparks of joy,

Jess

PS I have openings to work with a couple individuals in early 2025. This might include therapeutic art practice in my studio; reiki healing sessions; intuitive readings; or deep listening sessions. Please email me to discuss, as I mentioned my website is still in process :)

PPS Need a last minute gift? I do have some beautiful ceramics available and ready to ship! Or make an appointment to meet me at Applewoods Gallery in Marlboro, VT.
